Jack's new tricks
Friday, December 23, 2005
Jack has been learning some new tricks lately. He really enjoys holding onto his feet! He can sit up for very short periods by himself, and when you throw a burp rag over his face and ask "Where's Jack", he pulls it off by himself. We're really having a good time with him!

Jack with Uncle Bill
Wednesday, December 07, 2005
For decades it hadn't been sheared.
The hair grew around Him and wound to the ground
'Til one Monday he just disappeared!
My first shoes!
I can walk! ....sorta

Sly Fox
Big Head
Friday, November 18, 2005
Jack's head is finally big enough to fit into the hats we bought him about 2 months ago! Here's a picture with the bear again. He is 4 months old as of yesterday. He's really started babbling away lately, and he and Grandpa have some very interesting "conversations".
Heads Up!
Wow, I've really been lax about posting pictures lately! Jack is working on his push-ups here. I haven't been as good about putting on his tummy as I should have been, but lately we've been working on it a lot. It's really only taken a couple of days for him to get to where he is able to lift his head up and look around.
Visit to Texas
Thursday, November 10, 2005
Well, I'm having some technical difficulties getting most of the pictures to my PC from our trip to Texas last week, but here's one of Jack with his Great-Grandmother, known in our family as "Memommie". (We have my cousin LouAnn to thank for that creative name) We had a really good visit with her and Jack's Great Aunts Neva and Clara and Great Uncle Bob, and even got to visit with his Great-Great Aunt LaVelle.
See how big I am?!

Two more from Sunday
Sunday, October 23, 2005
Jack is still a little floppy, but sturdy enough to sit in the high chair while we eat dinner. We padded him with towels to keep him sitting upright and to make sure he wouldn't hurt himself in case he flopped forward! He sure enjoyed sitting up where he could see everyone at the table.
Do I look rested?
Don't I look rested in this picture? Jack slept through the night last night, with a little help from me. He woke up about every hour, but I got to him each time before he got fully awake and was able to settle him back to sleep. Part of our "go to sleep" routine is me rocking him a little and humming "Amazing Grace" just before I put him down, and I'm beginning to wonder... will he get sleepy for the rest of his life whenever anyone sings Amazing Grace?

Still playing with Laura's camera...
I love this sweater - he looks like such a little man. He's starting to enjoy the sound of his voice and was doing a little yelling while I was taking these pictures.
Much better camera
Wednesday, October 19, 2005
I borrowed Laura's camera, which has made me realize how limited my camera is. This one takes much better close ups and captures motion much better. Here are a couple of pictures I took this morning.
Jack be nimble, Jack be quick
Tuesday, October 18, 2005
Boy is it hard with my ancient 5 year old digital camera to get a non-blurry picture of Jack! He's constantly in motion.
Mobile's Home
Wednesday, October 12, 2005
Mom moved the mobile we had over Jack's cradle upstairs to hang over the Pack-N-Play downstairs so Jack could enjoy it during the day when he was more awake. It's the craziest looking mobile- Jack sure is having fun looking at it in this picture.
Visit with Granna & Granddad
We took a trip to Winchester, KY last weekend to see Mark's parents. They hadn't seen him since we moved back to Ohio 5 weeks ago, so Jack had changed a lot. Here's a picture of Jack with his Granna and Granddad.
Smilin' Jack
Tuesday, September 27, 2005
We take a picture of Jack with this bear every month or so to see how he's growing. Mark and I built this bear at the Build-A-Bear Workshop when we were dating.

What we like to call the "Screaming Poo Poo Fit"
Saturday, September 17, 2005
Jack is still getting used to the idea of having to "go #2", and sometimes it really makes him upset. The doctor says lots of babies have the same reaction and that it's not hurting him. Sure looks like it is though! He's a great screamer - maybe he'll be an opera singer when he grows up!
Video
Thursday, September 08, 2005
Here's a video "montage" of Jack. It will take a little bit to download- it's almost 4 megs.
The biggest baby of 'em all...
The "spoiled" bib is a huge understatement! Next he'll be stealing the pacifiers out of Jack's mouth... Maybe it's a jealousy thing, since he's not the baby anymore...
